End of Summer Wrap Up!

Wow..... Where has the time gone!?!? I guess things got real crazy since Abe started school for his LAST semester!! He has officially applied for graduation, and we couldn't be more excited. We are so over this whole student thing! Before the craziness of a new semester began we decided to cram as many fun things in as we could. Of course on most days we forgot the camera, but I did manage to bring it along to a few places! We started the the week off  with Piper's birthday! I still can not believe that she is five! She wanted a My Little Pony Party, with a Rarity Pony Pinata.....this was the best I could do!!! She had fun parting with her cousins!

I usually never get to snap pictures of the kids when they are clean, or sitting still. So on Sundays I try my hardest to snap pictures of them! Here they are.

Parker is usually doing this before church.....but I managed to get a good one!

 

Another two very exciting things that happened this summer are that Piper and Parker got hair cuts! They were long over due. Piper's hair usually grows into a weird mullet looking thing, and Parker's was way to long. I could put it in a pony tail, so that speaks for itself!!

The farmstead was one of our favorite things to do this summer. We went at least once a week!

 We also loved the lake.....untill we caught some gross bacteria from it that literally took the kids a couple months to fight off!!!

Summer fun!

So far we have had a great summer. We aren't taking any big vacations this year, we have decided to do a lot of little small things around where we live. One of those things that we got to go do was watch a special showing of the new my little pony movie. It was great, if you excuse the fact that I forgot to bring my favorite my little pony plushie, and dress up like my favorite character! No joke! The theater was filled with adults and teenagers dressed up like characters from the show, talking as if they were characters from the show, and having heated debates on who the best pony is. I still haven't decided which was the better show, the actually my little pony movie, or watching them.....The girls really liked it, it was a fun outing, and hey, the girls got to take a photo with some of their favorite characters!

Another fun thing for the girls that we do quit often is go to Cabela's. They love looking at all the giant mounted animals.

 They have this mounted deer that the kids are allowed to touch. Phoebe and Piper said "oh how cute!" Paislee grabs a toy gun and says, "let's shoot it!" haha!

My sister came to visit at the end of June. It was perfect because the girls got to do what they love best with their cousins...SWIM! We were also able to celebrate Parker's birthday with them.

Happy Fourth of July!

For the fourth of July we ate yummy barbecue with the family, went to Independence to watch the fire works, and then went camping for a couple days. It was a tiring, but super fun holiday!

Loving the Warm Weather!

Abe just finished his first year of Grad school, and he has a week off  before he starts his internship so we are hitting up all the fun stuff with him before he is gone all day again! The weather has turned nice and hot here, and our kiddos love water so we find most of our days involving lakes and sprinklers. At night I turn on some music and clean, clean, clean. It seems that the bottom half of the walls are always filthy, while the top half are always clean...I wonder why! Those kids will touch anything and everything it seems. We are hoping that a circus comes to town here or something like that. The one in Idaho Falls last year was so fun, and the kids loved it. Piper still loves drawing and coloring. Paislee is still a tom boy and seems to enjoy roughing up her siblings. Phoebe is a little clown. She will pull a funny face on anybody anywhere and will always have someone laughing. Parker is showing more of a personality everyday. He loves to wrestle, and can throw a major fit if you do not get food to him fast enough. As always if I would blog more than there would not need to be picture over load!
