HORNS!

It isn't every day you run into anti's in rexburg, their kinda out numbered...

Kayla was in Wal-Mart the other day with Piper, and upon leaving the store a woman approached Kayla and said "Oh, look her horns are growing in- I guess it really is true!"
Kayla said: you're an idiot and left the store.

We went grocery shopping in Wal-Mart a couple weeks ago, and Piper calmly and innocently sits in the cart, and eats the food we are going to buy. People walk by and say she is sooo cute, -what happened to her head? or they wont say anything but they will make gestures to their companion shoppers making horns with their hands with a odd look on thier faces, and they have a non-verbal conversation so that we cannot overhear them, but heaven forbid i cannot tell what their gross hand signals are about. Common people! lets be for real! All though it is comical and we laugh (not at Piper, but at them for being ignorant) you wouldn't go up to some one and say wow your kid is UGLY!

Piper the comedian

Piper has discovered that she can draw everyones attention cuz she is so darn cute. She likes her binky in her mouth upside down, and after successfully sucking on it upside down, she looks around at church to get chuckles from everyone.

Kayla and I have decided to do a little community service, we now take care of balding grandma's that suffer from photosensitivity (can't handle bright lights). Here is our live-in old lady and her glasses.

Piper is grow'n and explor'n everything and never ceases to make us laugh. But you ask- what of yourselves, don't you do anything notable? the answer is directly- NO. We are just excited for the semester to be over, and we're over half way there! (yes the glass is half full) but we do keep our sanity, laughing at our old lady.

V (for victory) - day

Well, i decided to get a jump on the flower conspiracy craze instilled by hollywood, the flower growers and get-rich-quick schemers worldwide. I'm not hatin', just wanted you to realize the craziness of the situation.... A couple months ago, feeling appreciative for kayla's dedication to raising Piper, and bought flowers. They cost less than 15$ including the Vase to boot. Valentine's rolls around, I buy flowers because i am sure my head will cave in if a Valentine's Day passed and i didn't buy any- (I heard it is real, by the way- have you ever seen a man alive that didn't buy flowers? i know! you like dissapear. So I did, not out of fear, but ...) So I purchase the SAME amount and arrangement of flowers('cuz I am safe like that, knowing Kayla likes the arrangment/flowers chosen), and the flowers were almost 3x more expensive then they were not 3 months ago when I bought them!
I thought for sure i would get a good deal buying them early, but no. the moral of the story? YOU can't win, the man will always win... but we buy them anyways, because We LOVE our wives :) and know you are more than worth it KAYLA!
Happy Valentines Day! My advice is the folowing: may you go into a diabetic coma for eating to much candy, wait in line at your favorite restaurant for hours, spend weeks to find that date to re-kindle and grow your love, say those sappy love remarks you memorized from the last year of chic flicks, and be grateful- SHE does so much more for you!

I should really learn to post when it happens, but as if that is going to happen...
Piper's newest impression is that of Godzilla. She thinks it is funny to find the biggest object and stuff it in her mouth, and it is not fun unless it will hardly fit... Today's victim is the farmer's wife.
Yes those are blood-shot eyes- after being sick, Piper looked like a hung over child for a couple days. That is the real reason we didn't go anywhere- we didn't want to be blamed for drugging our child.

Piper is almost big enough for her snow suit, and after putting in on her, we realized that she couldn't move her arms or legs, and couldn't even turn her head from side to side. The first thing that came to mind was A Christmas Story, and I didn't feel bad for being the over-protective parent. Besides, at least Piper won't get made fun of for a couple more years.

Byu-Idaho got to have an exact replica of the Grandin Press for keeps in our library and this week Kayla got to go and make her very owncopy of the title page of the Book of Mormon. She put the letters in, inked it, pressed it, and cut it. It was a pretty neat experience for her to learn more about the history of the church and to make her own page. She also got to view some of the first 5'000 copies of the Book of Mormon, the he she bible, and other really neat church history artifacts.
