Locked in for the long haul!

So contrary to our wanting it to, the semester started. Yeah i suppose we could all be happy saying that it needs to get done sooner or later, but the free time dissipating, the return of droves of college kids that are just as hormonally driven as possible, transform our nice oasis of a burg into a mad house- its like a Hollywood escape scene really-minimal traffic laws are observed, grocery stores are ransacked, and quaint local grandmas that endured the bitter winter of the depression put on their game faces and remind us why they're the pioneers. In all seriousness- The return of the college kids (I say college kids because though we're in college, we never left- in reality we've become locals) is saddest for piper- whose Walmart sized playpen has become too dangerous to explore on her own.
The sight is priceless- the scene is repeated over and over- the seasoned older college student is the tour guide for the parent assisting the younger sibling- a college freshman purchsing all the neccesities to survival. The tour includes everything from where to buy cheap groceries to which men's apartments to avoid because the stink of rotting produce. The younger sibling will continue to add items to the cart, while mom- who is footing this bill, holds up a pair of flip-flops and asks the older college student- "will she need these?" Next aisle- the seasoned college student grabs a bag of chicken breasts. The younger sibling asks- "why so much chicken?" The response is the shortest complete sentance- "boys." Before the mother can become concerned the older student is half way to check out, as to avoid confrontations on this their day of freedom.

Here are the pictures of us escaping the return to Rexburg-Piper loved the petting Zoo- she thought the goats were very wied, but i could tell they weren't as excited as she was.

Piper loved the waterfoul she was most interested in the swans.
Piper liekd to feed the goats. She tried to feed different goats- her inborn idea of sharing i suppose- but the goat (pictured above) kept on butting the others out of the way so that it could eat all the food. Very interesting!

She seems obsessed with animals--well, Maggie at least!

Cute zoo pics. How about a picture of Kayla(from the side) and from the front so we can see her hair. Scott said it looked really good. I love you all.
